Secret Desires is not so mysterious. The app is very transparent, and you can count on everything being displayed. It's one of the best places to be if you're seeking out companionship or if you have some NSFW fantasies to control. The degree of freedom on SD is different from other contenders, which simply allow you to craft a character. On SD, you can fine-tune everything using rich descriptors, memory banks, and AI hobbies & jobs. The AI is not just a doll, it can easily replicate a relationship of your making. Choose SFW Or NSFW

One of the vital distinctions you need to take note of is the SFW/NSFW switch. Depending on what you have toggled on, you will be thrust into a wholly different website. Say you have toggled NSFW off. Now, the site hosts RPG adventure chatbots, magic objects, fathers-in-law who will make you feel the warmth of home, and your favorite aunts, who will hear all of your worries. Turn the NSFW on, and you are meeting a spicy hacker from the future with weird web kinks, domineering demon kings, and slutty step-siblings. With one switch, you curate what kind of experience you want to have and what you want to see. But even the NSFW side has unusual stories and RPG settings, especially since you have options between official and community-made models.

Some general things we noticed:

• You can choose to show only official or only the community AI companions. There's naturally the option to show both. Community AI are more experimental, often feature OCs and custom companions, and have a higher rate of being unpredictable.
• Additionally, you can choose what type of response style suits you best. Texting and Roleplay are options, and you can switch between them mid-chat. This occasionally causes issues. It's well-suited for scene transitions.
• Press the forward button under the AI's response to get a follow-up within the context. It's best done when you're already deep in the conversation and need a lead-up response.
• You can "call" the AI, in which case the set AI voice will be used.
• If you ever want to start from the beginning of the adventure, you can always clear chat history.
• You can generate AI images based on the companion.

Check The Settings And Make Edits

Did you see any AI that caught your fancy? Click on it. If you're on the PC, you can see all of the settings in the left box. Phone users will have to switch between tabs as they're in permanent full-screen mode (PC users have a button for that). The settings are the personality, age, hobbies, relationship between the user and the AI, and all of that jam. You can see the latest images generated for the AI, as well as some buttons that range from editing prompts to calling the AI. It's all solid information, but let's examine it further.

• The Edit Button: This allows you to edit the larger scope of the AI. Kinks, hobbies, jobs, relationships, personality, voice, looks, age, and name. It's the direct mechanical change. If you ever find a character that's perfect but just slightly off, you go here.
• The Options Button: Here you can delete the AI, clear chat history, go full screen mode, and set the notification status (AI sometimes sends a surprise).
• About Me: It can be edited from the settings menu, but you can also alter it individually. It's the story of the character that comes into play during chatting.
• Memory: Here you can add some key memory moments for AI to remember and reference, or just for yourself. You can add them on the fly.

But the most important thing is: The Character Settings Button: This is for you specifically. The basic profile settings inform the AI about your age, gender, and name. You can also write about yourself to give the AI more juice. This is also where you can give instructions for what type of response you want. A bit further in, you will find the preferences section. If you have a high subscription, you can choose one of the better engines. It also allows you to fine-tune the experience, such as adding time awareness.

Recent Chats And My Partners

These options are found under the menu button. They work roughly the same way, but have distinct enough functions to matter.

• Recent Chats: Here you will see three or so AIs you chatted with most recently. It's a good way of getting back into the groove if you had to step away from the chats. The mini profiles will be shown, so you can distinguish them visually.
• My Partners: This is the total collection of every AI you've interacted with, even if you only ever clicked on their profile to see the first response. They are listed with their character cards, so it looks like a curated version of the main menu. If you want to delete an AI from this database, you can go into the options and choose to remove it from the collection.

That About Sums It Up!

Secret Desires has a rich database to work with, but the core of the action is within the AI cards. The only thing we didn't touch upon are the virtual currency and subscription tiers, but you can be the judge of that (spoiler: we think it's worth it).
